As the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness approaches, work at Tancred Farm turns to ensuring that you can source lots of local produce for your autumn dishes. The shop is bursting with seasonal main crop potatoes, root vegetables and delicious green cabbage as well as late summer plums and apples from our own little orchard.

September heralds a new academic year as many pupils dust off their uniforms or step into a new school for the first time. As routines go back to normal and meals are planned around the careful balance of work, school and play remember that Tancred Farm can provide you most of the ingredients required for a healthy, balanced diet. Evidence shows that we all need a portion of protein at mealtimes to in order to stay alert, repair muscles and maintain a strong immune system; why not get the children involved in making this beef stir fry? Packed with crispy vegetables and iron it makes the ideal supper following a long day of hard work.
