The Butchery
At the heart of Tancred Farm Shop is the Butchery. We have been pig farmers for over 30 years and now we are able to sell our own reared produce on site, as well as regularly attending farmers’ markets throughout Yorkshire.
Knowing where your meat comes from and how it is cared for is becoming increasingly important to everyone. Here at Tancred Farm Shop the pork and beef is reared and butchered on site on our 120 acre farm. We even make our own pig food for their special diet – ensuring you get the highest quality pork.
We make and sell over 40 different varieties of award winning sausage as well as pork pies, dry cured hams, gammon, bacon, salami and home-made burgers.
We supply fresh beef from our grass fed pedigree Lincoln Red Cows. Our pigs are our own breed to produce succulent pork with extra marbling designed to be the best around. We rear sheep and goats at Tancred so we can always tell you everything about the providence and traceability of the meat you are putting on your plate.
At Tancred Farm Shop you can rely on our knowledge and expertise to help you get the best from the food you buy. We can offer all our customers advice on recipe ideas, how best to cook the meats and even help you to create the perfect meal with complimenting seasonal vegetables, sauces or chutneys.
