Tockwith and District Annual Show, founded in 1947, was originally held to help raise money for the Red Cross who supported the personnel at RAF Marston Moor. With 12 helpers it created a surplus of £58!
Over the years the show has progressed from being a purely Horticultural Show to becoming a full Agricultural and Horticultural Show with an estimated attendance in 2007 of more than 11,000 this year and has grown each year making it one of the largest community events in the area.
AND this year we were awarded the title of the Best Looking Stand in the Farmers’ Market tent at the Show.
“We’re delighted to have won this award. The whole team worked hard to ensure the stall was packed full of delicious produce from our Farmshop based near Whixley. Well done to all the team and we look forward to next year’s show.”
