York Food Festival delivers on taste, year after year, with a selection of the finest ingredients and this year was no different! A 10 day packed food festival, presented in a market setting, attracts locals and tourists by the thousands. The festival, which began in 1997, aimed to bring celebrity chefs to York and run a food market around them. Today the festival focuses on Yorkshire produce and chefs. Its aim is to educate, providing cookery lessons and demonstrations as well as events to celebrate Yorkshire food and drink.
For the last few years Tancred Farm Shop has enjoyed the 10 day event serving hundreds of customers with delicious home-reared sausage or burger sandwiches and selling a range of meat for people to take home with them.
Dean Hullah said, “The Festival is a great opportunity for our Farm Shop and quality meats to be discovered by food lovers whether tourists or people local to York. We love people enjoying our produce and this way we even get to cook for them. We will be back next year so make sure you make a point of coming to see us!”
